Vintage carved and hand-painted wooden duck raised on an integral plinth base, decorated throughout with stylised feather motifs in black, ochre, cream and red. Executed in the traditional folk-art manner of western India, the bird with exaggerated eye and geometric wing panels.
A decorative example of Indian village craftsmanship with a well-worn painted surface and good overall colour.
