A Doulton Lambeth stoneware jar and cover, decorated in the Slaters Patent technique with applied lacework relief beneath a lustrous glaze, highlighted with turquoise infill against a rich brown ground. The impressed base mark reads “Doulton & Slaters Patent”, with rosette stamp and England, together with pattern number 3428, placing the piece in the late Victorian to early Edwardian period, circa 1891–1910.

The form is typical of Lambeth production intended for domestic use, often as tobacco or small storage jars, yet elevated by the textural complexity and tonal contrast characteristic of Slaters ware.

Condition: Minor chip to the inner rim of the jar (not visible when closed), and some minor historic restoration of a breakage around the rim. Offered as found.

H 12.5cm x W 10cm
