Street Urchin, Prof. Luigi ‘Gigi’ Rocca (b.1952)
£350.00
An evocative original oil on canvas by the Italian painter Luigi “Gigi” Rocca, depicting a young street musician resting beside a cello with a faithful companion at their side.
Painted in Rocca's characteristic loose, confident brushwork, the composition combines warmth, atmosphere and narrative charm, with a restrained palette of soft neutrals and rich earth tones.
Signed lower right and further signed and titled verso, retaining the artist's original studio label. A compelling figurative work from Rocca's earlier period, before the artist became widely known for his celebrated urban and New York scenes.
