Decorative ornithological study of parrots, after an early natural history illustration. Richly coloured and printed on laid-style paper, retaining the character and charm of historic imagery.
The original artwork - Parrot and Grey Red-Tailed Parrot - was created between 1596 and 1610 by Flemish scientist and artist Anselmus Boëtius de Boodt for Emperor Rudolf II.
