Bitossi: Rimini Blu Tankard by Aldo Londi, Italy

A striking Italian ceramic tankard from the celebrated Rimini Blu series designed by Aldo Londi (1911-2003) for Bitossi Ceramiche.

Finished in Bitossi's iconic blue glaze, the tankard features bands of impressed geometric decoration, punctuated by rows of dots and linear motifs that create the richly textured surface for which the Rimini Blu collection is renowned. Variations in the glaze range from deep cobalt to turquoise tones, highlighting the hand-finished nature of the piece and adding depth and character.

Equally suited as a functional tankard, desk tidy, or decorative object, this is a classic example of Italian studio pottery and Mid-Century design.
