Patinated antique Chinese tripod censer bowl (incense burner), decorated with inlaid silver wire patterns around the rim and landscape scenes surrounding the exterior. Approximately 17cm diameter (7in).
Marked to base: 宣德年製(Xuāndé Nián Zhì), made during the Xuande reign. Most censers with this mark are reproductions made during the 18th and 19th centuries (Qing Dynasty). This example is believed to have been made in the late Qing period (c.1880-1920) and is likely cast copper.
Provenance: acquired from an antiques dealer, prior provenance unknown.
